UTD Welcomes DTE Energy as 20th Member and Celebrates 15-Year Anniversary

Utilization Technology Development, NFP (UTD) recently welcomed DTE Energy as the 20th member of the organization. UTD is a non-profit collaboration of utilities that creates and advances new technologies and products designed to save consumers money, reduce energy consumption, and achieve superior environmental performance.
"We're really excited to join UTD as the membership enables DTE to invest in new technologies that will allow us to better serve our customers today and into the future," said Wayne Fox Jr., manager, Gas Major Accounts, DTE Energy. DTE is a Detroit-based energy company that serves both natural gas and electric customers in Michigan.
UTD's 20 member companies serve more than 47 million natural gas customers in the Americas and Europe. As it celebrates its fifteenth anniversary of operation, UTD continues to tackle energy and carbon management issues by working closely with leading researchers, governmental agencies, and others to take technologies and product prototypes from the laboratory to the market.
UTD's influence and reach continues to gain momentum. "As markets rapidly evolve and environmental goals increase in scale, there is an urgent need for new efficient end-use technologies that save energy and provide consumers with affordable alternatives," notes UTD President, Ron Snedic. "We're very pleased to have another world-class company, DTE, join our organization."
