Who We Are Utilities
UTD, as a 501(c)(6) not-for-profit organization, is led and directed by forward-thinking utilities aiming to help their 35+ million gas customers in North America use lower-emission energy systems while retaining energy reliability, resiliency, affordability and customer choice. Each utility allocates its own resources to specific UTD research efforts that directly benefit their own customers, but all participating utilities receive all of UTD’s results.
Join Us
UTD’s public-private coordinated R&D efforts are highly effective and efficient, but energy end-use challenges and opportunities are very great. We encourage additional utilities to join UTD to address significant environmental challenges through innovative solutions while supporting economical, resilient, reliable service for their customers.
